Tentang Kelas Di Redvelvet Inc.:

*Kelas-kelas di REDVELVET Inc. merupakan kelas menghias kek dan cupcake sahaja.
*Kek dan cupcake yang telah siap dibakar akan disediakan untuk pelajar.

*Bagaimanapun, resepi-resepi yang diberi akan dibuat secara DEMO shj pada awal kelas untuk memberi sepenuh tumpuan dan perhatian kepada seni menghias kek dan cupcake.
*Resepi-resepi akan diberi kepada pelajar.
*Pelajar hanya perlu membawa apron, buku nota dan kain lap.
*Setiap kelas boleh menempatkan maksima 8 orang sahaja.

Assalamualaikum semua,

Musim baru persekolahan bakal bermula beberapa hari lagi. Anak-anak masih dengan perangai cuti mereka. Tidor lambat bangun pun matahari dah atas kepala pun belum nak bangun lagi.. Mau kes haru nak kejutkan mereka pagi-pagi nak ke sekolah nanti ni..

Dah tentu kelengkapan persekolahan anak-anak kita dah disiapkan. Baju sekolah dah dijahitkan lencana dan nama?? Sarapan pagi anak-anak dah rancang ape nak dimasak?? Segala macam persiapan nak difikirkan. Dikalangan kita ibu-ibu pun mula sebok merancang masa dalam mengendalikan hal-hal rumahtangga.

Saya ingin mengambil kesempatan ini untuk mengucapkan Selamat Tahun Baru 2012 kepada semua guru-guru, sahabat-sahabat dan anda yang tak jemu-jemu sudi singgah ke blog saya ni. Saya juga tak lari dari sebok dengan hal anak-anak, merancang masa agar selari dengan tuntutan keluarga dan dalam masa yang sama sedang merangka jadual untuk kelas-kelas yang bakal diadakan dikedai saya bermula minggu ke-2 bulan January ini.

Saya ingin mengucapkan berbanyak-banyak terima kaseh kepada guru-guru saya Cikgu Adriana dari Amore E Bake, Teacher Zalina dari BZee Bakery, Cikgu Ratukek yang banyak memberi tunjuk ajar, mencurah ilmu serta peniup semangat untuk saya mengembangkan lagi kerjaya dalam bidang mengajar pula.. Insyallah cikgu-cikgu sekalian.. ini langkah pertama saya dan saya mohon didoakan perjalanan pertama saya dipermudahkan oleh Allah Subhanahuwataala. Mudah-mudahan doa guru-guru untuk anak muridnya ni makbul. Amin..

Dalam post yang berikut, saya akan lengkapkan jadual kelas yang telah siap. Pastikan anda kembali ke blog saya ni untuk berita-berita yang akan datang.

CLASS - Decorating 2012

Salam semua,

Masih dalam mood cuti sekolah lagi. Tapi tak berapa lama aja lagi anak-anak kita dah mula masuk ke sekolah. Masuk sekolah bermakna naik darjah/tingkatan, buku tambah banyak, perbelanjaan mak ayah juga akan bertambah untuk bulan akhir cuti sekolah ni. Mana tak nye kan... buku sekolah nak kena beli, baju sekolah, kasut dan baju baru, beg dan pencil box pun mesti nak baru... hmm.. tak pe lah. Semangat sikit anak-anak nak ke sekolah bila dapat kelengkapan sekolah yang baru kan.

Saya pun tak terkecuali dalam bab sekolah, belajar dan mengajar ni. Saya sedang dalam persiapan untuk menambah cabang kerjaya saya dari seorang Baker kepada seorang tenaga pengajar insyallah!!

Bermula tahun 2012 ini, saya akan membuka kelas memberi peluang kepada sesiapa yang nak menambah ilmu, menaiktarafkan diri sendiri untuk menceburi bidang yang sangat saya rekomen buat menambah pendapatan keluarga, menambah ilmu pengetahuan, atau sebagai hobi.
Saya akan memulakan kelas saya dengan seni menghias cupcake dan kek pada peringkat asas. Penggunaan buttercream, cara memperolehi sapuan/lepaan buttercream supaya kek nampak bersih, kemas dan rata. Pada peringkat pertengahan pula saya akan adakan seni menghias kek dan cupcake menggunakan fondant, penggunaan fondant, bagaimana membuat fondant sendiri (home-made), menghasilkan dekorasi daripada fondant, penggunaan warna pada fondant, cara menutup dan seterusnya menghias.

Pada peringkat seterusnya pula, saya akan memperkenalkan Redvelvet Inc: THE WEDDING SERIES (RVIWS). Untuk pakej ini nanti anda akan didedahkan kepada Dunia Kek Perkahwinan. Pakej ini termasuk menghias kek hantaran dan perkahwinan berserta hiasan-hiasan sampingan untuk kek-kek tersebut.

Insyallah dalam masa yang terdekat ini akan saya sertakan Jadual Kelas-kelas yang bakal saya kendalikan di Redvelvet Inc., No. 18-G Bazaar Baru MPS, Jalan Lee Sam, 70000 Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

Kepada yang telah ramai bertanya bila saya akan adakan kelas Wedding Cake dan Hantaran Cake, tunggu jadual pada post yang akan datang...

Activities For The Month of August 2011

Salam semua,

Kembali lagi untuk update blog ni..

1) Permulaan bulan Ogos ni saya mulakan dengan cupcake harijadi untuk anak saya yang ke-2 iaitu Ahmad Syafi. Seperti biasa saya akan bat kek chocolate sebab anak-anak saya memang suka chocolate cake. Dia request nak cupcake padang bola & sebuah team bola.

2) Sebuah kek chocolate yang sarat dengan warna dan Ladybug untuk Anis Sakinah Azli.

3) Dessert cake ni adalah untuk harijadi anak saya yang ke-4 Aqim (2 tahun) dan adek bongsu saya Pian. 6-layer chocolate cake dengan chocolate buttercream. Dessert cake ni agak kecil yang kebiasaannya bersaiz 6" sesuai untuk minum petang atau perjumpaan coffee break untuk 5 atau 6 orang. Sekiranya nak order, call atau sms saya dan mention DESSERT CAKE dan flavour.

4) Sebuah lagi DESSERT CAKE flavour vanilla. Kek ni bukan untuk seorang kanak-kanak lelaki yag berusia 2 tahun tapi saya difahamkan KARL adalah nama sebuah syarikat yang telah ditubuhkan dan telah berusia 2 tahun.

5) Sebuah kek Red velvet untuk majlis minum petang.

6) Kek chocolate dari nenek untuk cucunya yang dibuat petang sebelum nak Raya Aidil Fitri yang lepas.

7) Pada hari raya pertama aidil fitri yang baru lepas saya tak kemana-mana. Orang sebok beraya, manakala saya sebok didapor menyiapkan 2 hantaran yang bertema pink/purple. Macaron strawberry(pink) & blueberry(purple) dalam glass jar dan vanilla & chocolate cupcake siap untuk majlis pertunangan pada hari raya ke-2.

I'm Back again.. For month of July

Maaf lama saya menghilangkan diri.. Teramatlah buzy nye tak bleh nak elak.. Ok.. saya dah balek skarang n mari kita mulakan..

Untuk bulan Julai yang lepas:

1) Terlebih dahulu terima kaseh yang tidak terhingga pada Puan Fadhlina Lai yang order kek ni dan memberi sepenuh kepercayaan kepada saya untuk membuatnya untuk anaknya yang punya nama yang gak unik. Kek ni Italian rainbow dengan Italian Buttercream. Agak rumit dan sangat mencabar nak buat kalau dah berlapis-lapis ni. Setelah meng-adjust dan modify dalam otak berhari-hari, Alhamdulillah.. terhasil lah kek ni..

2) Hadiah harijadi buat seorang suami tercinta daripada seorang isteri. So sweet..indeed. Mixed macaron in a gift box.

3) Stacks of mixed macaron odered by a company for customer's hamper/gift basket sempena menyambut Ramadhan.

4) A boys chocolate birthday cake. He loves strawberries and cake is covered with chocolate ganache. This boy doesn't like buttercream so, the most chocolatest chocolate cake ever for him!!

Kek Hantaran dan Kek Perkahwinan

Salam semua,

Berikut ni ada dua biji kek yang telah saya siapkan iaitu kek untuk Hantaran Perkahwinan dan Kek Perkahwinan untuk upacara memotong kek.

Kek yang warna ungu dan putih ni ialah kek untuk hantaran seseorang dari Shah Alam. Flavour kek ni coklat, dan dihias dengan fondant serta bunga gumpaste.

Yang dibawah ni pulak ialah kek red velvet. Lagii... hehe.. Terima kaseh pada Shahrin & Azie yang order kek ni untuk anak saudara yang berkahwin pada bulan Mei yang lepas. Warna tema ialah baby blue.

Terima kaseh yang tidak terhingga kepada Hanis & Shahrizan dari Shah Alam yang order kek Ungu Putih untuk hantaran dan terima kaseh sekali lagi kepada Shahrin & Azie yang order kek Red Velvet dengan buttercream frosting warna Baby Blue tadi.

Kita jumpa lagi. Macaron saya kali ni di-order oleh 2 orang guru merangkap sahabat saya. hehe..

Chocolate Macaron yang didalam bekas 4 dan 3 cavitiy dibawah ni adalah permintaan seorang guru yang telah mengajar saya selok belok dekorasi kek dan cupcake. Kalau di Seremban ni pasti semua mengenali RATUKEK. Dia dah jadi regular customer saya bila order Chocolate Macaron ni. Kali ni dia request untuk size macaron ni dikecilkan kepada mini macaron. Janji boleh masuk dalam kotak coklat yang seperti dalam gambar ni.

Untuk Macaron strawberry dan chocolate ni diorder oleh seorang lagi cikgu saya yang sangat populerr.. di Bandar Seremban ni. Cikgu ni jugak lah yang bertanggungjawab mempopulerrr..kan saya di dalam Bandar Seremban ni dengan memberikan markah 6 dari 10 untuk macaron saya dari perbandingan dengan Macaron LADUREE, Paris sehingga saya bergelar CIKGU NORA dari REDVELVET INC sekarang. Saya panggil dia Teacher Zalina dari BZEE BAKERY di Seremban 2 Park. Siape tak kenal dengan Cikgu Puan Zalina ni yang sangat populer dengan kelas DIY yang dia kendalikan. Kelas DIY ni macam Personal Coaching untuk belajar membuat, memproses, menghias hinggalah ke membungkus segala jenis kek, roti, biskut, kueh-mueh tradisional dan sebagainye lah. You name it, dia akan cuba mengadakan kelas ape yang kita nak belajar.

Untuk kelas macaron selanjutnya, sila bertanya pada Cikgu Zalina atau layari www.bzeecake.blogspot.com. Kalau ade rezeki dia jemput saya lagi, insyallah dengan senang hati akan saya tunaikan.

Hari Guru Dan Red Velvet lagi...

Salam semua,

Hari Guru datang lagi begitu jugak wakil dari Sekolah Kebangsaan Seremban 2B. Kali ni mereka akan mengadakan jamuan bagi meraikan guru-guru di sekolah tersebut. Meriah sungguh sekolah ni. Untuk kali ini mereka nak cupcake pulak. Gambar dibawah merupakan cupcake yang telah di letakkan didalam bekas dome untuk setiap guru dan warga kerja pentadbiran sekolah ini.

Dibawah ni pulak cupcake Red Velvet yang di-order oleh Cik Atia untuk majlis kendurinya.

Dan yang ini ialah kek Red Velvet untuk harijadi seorang ayah. Yeap, i know! Red Velvet lagi kan!! Saya pun sebenarnya suka buat red velvet ni. Sangat sedap!!

Cupcake Pertunangan

Salam semua,

Gambar yang dibawah ni merupakan cupcake untuk pertunangan. Tuan punya badan hanya nak cupcake dan teks Selamat Bertunang. Pemalu agaknya orang ni tak mahu namanya di tulis atas cupcake ni. Jadi, untuk mengikut permintaan orang yang nak bertunang ni, ini lah hasilnya. Mudah-mudahan dia suka.

Kesemua cupcake ade 25 biji dan flavour yang dia nak ialah coklat dan vanilla dan buttercream frosting.

Rasenye cupcake ni dah selamat masuk dalam perut penerimanya. Saya suka buat cupcake yang ni sebab yang meng-ordernya tak kesah nak itu dan ini. Dia kate ikut ape yang cantek dan terbaeekk. Selamat Bertunang pada anda yang telah meng-order cupcake ni dan terima kaseh kerana memberi kepercayaan dan menyokong saya.

Red Velvet Cupcake For Birthday

Salam all,

Bulan Jun dah berlalu. Dah masuk bulan Julai dah ni. Cepatnye masa berlalu. Bulan depan dah mula berpuasa. Bulan Ramadhan merupakan bulan yang paling saya tunggu-tunggu begitu juga semua umat Islam seluruh dunia. Saya akan bercuti sepanjang bulan Ramadhan ni sehingga minggu ke-2 Syawal.

Sebelum saya bercuti, saya akan cuba sedaya upaya untuk memenuhi semua order kawan-kawan sehingga la bermulanya bulan Ramadhan ye!

Ok, dibawah ni ade beberapa gambar yang saya upload. Pada 20 Mei yang lalu merupakan hari lahir adek saya. Favourite dia ialah red velvet dgn cream cheese frosting. Itu hadiah saya untuk dia.

Red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting kegemaran adik saya juga merupakan birthday boy pada bulan Mei yang lepas.

Tu la dia dengan cupcake dia.

Ini merupakan Brownies hadiah dari bosnya Encik Rostam. Sedap brownies ni. Homemade memang sedap. Susah nak cari brownies sesedap yang saya rasa ni.

Thank you Encik Rostam of Sinar.fm kerana celebrate hari lahir adek saya dapat jugak kami merasa Brownies yang memang menjadi favourite kami sekeluarga.

Italian Rainbow Cake

Salam semua,

Kali ni kedai saya didatangi 2 orang anak-anak yang nak saya buatkan kek untuk harijadi ibu mereka. Mereka nak kek yang sedap so, saya rekomen Italian Rainbow kek dengan italian buttercream. Kek ni memang dah jadi favourite suami saya. Kek yang lain dari yang lain ni menggunakan dekat sekilo butter. So, sape nak makan kek ni kena jogging ye lepas makan. Kek ni memang sedap tak hengat dunia la makan. Terima kaseh Teacher Zalina (BZEE Bakery) yang bersusah-payah mengajar saya buat kek ni.

Itu dia enam layer Rainbow ni. Memang leceh buat tapi sedap makan.

Italian buttercream yang menyalut kek ni begitu jugak jadi filling untuk setiap layer pun.. leceh nak buat sebab ianya membabitkan memasak gula menjadi sirap. Kek yang menggunakan Italian Buttercream ni jugak harus disimpan didalam petisejuk. Kalau dibiarkan akan cair la cream ni..

Kek ni tak perlu banyak dekorasi kerana bila kek ni dipotong, akan terlihat lah warna-warna pelangi yang ada pada setiap lapis kek ni. Itu dah cukup mewarnai dan mencorak keseluruhan kek.

Ni kek yang da siap. Terima kaseh anak-anak yang orderkan kek ni untuk mama mereka.

Kek Hantaran

Salam semua,

Gambar dibawah ni bukan topi ye! Ini adalah kek fondant bentuk macam topi siap riben besar dan brooch lagi.. Masa nak buat kek ni tak perasan langsung ade brooch didepan kek ni. Gambar bentuk kek macam ni diberi oleh seorang customer yang nak saya buat ikut sebijik cam gambar yang dia dah bagi.

Brooch tu saya beli last minute sebelum kedai tutup je sebab tak perasan. Dah siap BAEKK.. punye tiba-tiba baru terpandang ade brooch terselit depan topi/kek tu. Alamak!!!

Gelabah jugak malam-malam tu pegi kluar ke Tesco. Dah nak tutup pun pushcart jual brooch tu tapi dia layan jugak saya yang tercungap-cungap berlari nak dapatkan brooch ni. Terima kaseh ye dek...maaf tak ingat dah nama dia tapi nak tutup pun dia layan gak saya yang loqlaq ni..

Dah siap fondant kek topi ni, brooch pun dah sangkut canteekk... Begitu la rupenye. Tuannye pun dah selamat bertunang dan kek ni pun dah selamat masuk perut...

Sekian saja lah cerita saya yang sebenarnye mengantuk sangat ni.. Nak menyiapkan kek yang agak rumit dan kadang-kadang besar memaksa saya mengorbankan masa tidur saya yang kadang-kadang orang baru bangun pagi saya baru nak masuk tidor... Hmmm gitu lah adenya cerita saya kali ni.

Terima kaseh kerana sudi datang lagi ke blog saya ni. Maaf lama tak update. Order yang datang hampir setiap hari... Baking & baking... tidak memungkinkan saya untuk mendekati laptop saya.

Ok. kali ni ada 2 order untuk kek harijadi yang agak besar... dan berat.

1) Dari guru-guru dan Staff Sekolah Kebangsaan Seremban 2B. Kek harijadi untuk pengetua sekolah Tuan Hj, Osman Bin Hj Abdullah. Bentuk rectangle. Besar sungguh and berat pulak tu. Mane taknye vanilla buttercake tu. Kek butter memang agak berat. Bukan kek span ye!!

Sorry to keep you all waiting. I've been busy with macaron class-teaching that is. Its my 1st experience teaching. I had fun and i hope my student feels the same way and enjoyed attending my class. I'll post some pictures soon but you guys can view it at bzeecake.blogspot.com under Kelas Macaron.
Below are 2 box of brownies requests by a customer whom the week before ordered the same brownies. They sure do lurve brownies. I lurve them too!!

As for the pictures below, I made these biscotties for a friend my husband and i visited a couple of weeks ago. This is pistachio and cranberry biscotti. i like them with my nescafe in the morning and had them for tea as well. Sedap!! Ala... biskut keras yang cicah ngan kopi tu tapi yang ni versi Italian.

Macarons On A Rainy Day..

Welcome to my blog once again. Its macaron day again for a hantaran. This girl wanted a mixed colorful macaron.

It was a Thursday morning a indeed a bright and sunny day. Perfect day to make macaron. After i've done piping the batter, it was gloomy and dark all of a sudden. Alamak... Hmm.. Normally macaron batter doesn't dry well on a rainy day. That's what i'm afraid of. But alhamdulillah maybe at the start of the day it was sunny and kind of warm. So when i start to pipe my batter in the middle of the day it is still quite warm out side. So the drying process is still good and achievable.

Flavours i made was blueberry, mint, raspberry, chocolate and coffee. Here it is...

I love my macs. Its behaving pretty well even on a rainy day. Aren't they gorgeous??

Chocolate Chip Cookie

Salam all,

Recently dapat order from my sisters office mate from MISC for 40pcs of Chocolate Chip Cookies individually packed. So, here it is.

These giant little beauties is my very own Totally Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie. It's a giant. About the size of the palm of your hand and its a soft cookie.

The person ordered this for a kenduri and a family gethering event so she wanted me to pack it individually so that everyone in the family get to have one each in a goody bag.
Thats what i have at my shop from time to time. Some time there totally chocolate chip, and some time i add some nuts and dried fruits it it and its delish!! It is sealed to stay fresh.

Coming soon a hantaran cake. Hmmm.... Dont forget to come back soon.

My Kitchen Garden - AMORE

Salam all,

Once again i found myself wandering about one of my most favourite places in Seremban - AMORE a.k.a My Kitchen Garden in search of something useful for myself & the shop of course.

Soooo...here i am. i'm in bread making class and tart class. I've been waiting for this class for a very long long time and finally my chance have arrived. I am so happy and satisfied with this class and after this i can start making bread and tarts with confidence!! woohoo! THANKS SIS ADRIANA for having this classess just for me.

Here are some picture from those classes.

These are tart shells. Makan shell ni saje sedap bukan main. Ha.. sekarang da tau buat sendiri. Buat jangan tak buat.

This is blueberry crumble tart. Sedap giler la. Semua tarts yang saya dah belajar buat ni favourite saya. Woohoo!!

Ni plak kelas roti. Senang rupenye nak membuatnye. Saya memang suka roti. Pegi mane pun saya akan beli roti. Bila makan roti tu ada sense of fulfilling and satisfying. Senang hati bile dapat roti.

Overall, i've had a satisfying week that week out of these two classes i've gone to. Lepas ni da boleh buat tart dan roti sendiri. Alhamdulillah, lega dah dapat ape yang dihajati setelah sekian lama menunggu.

Thanks again to my teacher and sista ADRIANA of AMORE E BAKE kerana sudi menerima dan mengajar saya yang agak ketinggalan zaman ni. Baru nak belajar tart dan roti. he he.. Orang lain dah sampai ke mana dah!

Just want to wish all mama, mak, ummi, ibu, mommy, amma all over the world. No matter how you call your mother in a language you're speaking they still mean the same. MOTHER! Mak, if you're reading my blog, along sayang mak! Happy Mak Day!

I am a mother and proud to be a mama to my 4 adorable, loving, wonderful, healthy and happy children. Being without them is like being in a world with no one else around. Just you alone. Silent. Sad. No sunshine. No air. No water. Hmm...

As we speak, my children is preparing something. A card or some sort. I remember there was one time a couple of years ago, my second and third kids was trying to create and decorate a mothers day card just like what they re doing now. These two child of mine came to me asking " mama, how to spell happy mothers day?" I wanted to laugh but i just play along with them. I wrote down on a piece of paper so that they can copy. They werent schooling yet at that time.
They manage to copy all the alphabets just perfectly except that some of the alphabets are upside down and its scattered everywhere on the piece of manila card. Hmm...thats my children!

I love and adore my mother and i absolutely love BEING a mother.. I hope you do too. Good night and have a pleasant weekend!

RED VELVET Day

Salam all,

I'm having a red velvet cravings all of a sudden. After baking a red velvet cake requests by a friend, i bake for myself a small 6 inch red velvet cake topped with buttercream. I was alone at the time. Couldn't remember why i was alone. i think it was one af those days where my husband took our kids out for a drive and i had some baking to do.

I had a great time drinking tea and devouring this lovely red velvet cake just to my self. Pure bliss!!

The mini red velvet i had all by myself.

A friends red velvet birthday cake with cream cheese topping.

Then i went on further getting my hands on red velvet macaron since i have a little bit more cream cheese topping from the previous red velvet cake. Just wanted to taste a red velvet macaron and filled them with cream cheese.

It was....okay i guess. Maybe not with cream cheese. I'd rather have bittersweet chocolate ganache in it. It still tasted like a red velvet cake only crunchy and chewy on the inside. But its still good. Just have to get use to it.

Nice colour for a photo shoot isnt it??

This is a red velvet cake. Covered in buttercream and some dessicated coconut. Sedap and a great combo. For those that dont like cream cheese, this is not a let down. Sangat sangat sedap. As you can see, its a chinese script written on the cake. Well, its a customers requests. I'm sorry i dont know what it means but i hope its a Happy Birthday wish like always.

As promised, here are some of my past baking projects done during my dissapearance. Enjoy the view!

Made these chocolates for my shop. If you feel like having some chocolates, do drop by.

These are plain white chocolate bar and above it are plain white and dark chocolate bar.

These are white chocolate and cranberry bar. These happen to be my favourite.

Also one of my favourite is dark chocolate mint praline.

This is peanut butter chocolate praline. A nutty chocolatey flavour.

This is a plain milk chocolate praline. My childrens favourite.

These chocolates are at my shop but i have new flavours each week that i brought in to the shop. If you have a sudden crave for some chocolates, come over and see what flavour is in store.

We also pack these chocolates as a gift. So if you don't know what to give someone as a gift, just call or drop by and we'll box them for you. Does anyone you know deserve a chocolate this week?

Hi all, First of all i'm truly sorry for the dissappearing act. I haven't been able to update the blog for quite some time. I am without a maid at the moment and its been 1 and 1/2 months. So with the kids, the house, the little monster Aqim and my shop, my hands a quite full. Alhamdulillah my maid has came back and i can peacefully bake without having to run after the kids in between my baking times. While i was "maid-less" for about almost 2 months, orders kept coming in but...i manage somehow to fulfill the demands, Alhamdulillah. Thanks to my husband who has been so patient and kind enough to mind the kids while i'm baking and also my eldest son Faiz who's been lovingly taking care of the baby brother while i'm in the kitchen. Alhamdulillah, i am one very happy mother to 4 very happy and wonderful children.. I've not been well for a week and my shop is closed for that length of time. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience that i have caused. Now i'm fine and my shop is operating as usual. I also have so many pictures of the past baking projects while i was missing from the blog. I will update and post some new pictures as soon as possible. As for now, just to let you all know that i'm back at the shop. I'm preparing some ingredients for macarons to bake on thursday. There will be some macaron at my shop on friday. So, do drop by and get some macarons at the shop ok!! New Cakes

Recently i upgraded myself yet again....at Bzee Bakery, Seremban 2 Park. New cakes will be at the shop & available for order.

This is Chocolate Indulgence. For the topping, chocolate cream on every layer and chocolate ganache. Welcome to the chocolate heaven everyone!!

This is my husbands fav. Italian Rainbow with Italian Buttercream. A little of a fuss to make but the Italian buttercream is a real dreamy... It melts in your mouth. This type of buttercream has to be in the fridge.. But its worth it! Yummy!!

This is RED VELVET with cream cheese topping. Again, yumm-o-rama!!

This is a Fondant Chocolate Layer Cake for hantaran. But any cake will do for a hantaran cake as long as the cake is sturdy and firm to hold the weight of the fondant. For a hantaran cake the usual size is 7 inch & a 3-layer cake.

Of course the hantaran cake is for order. To order, call me for an appointment, drop by my shop, have a taste at the flavour of your choice for your cake but i make it into a cupcake form at the shop then... decide ok? It's free for tasting if you're ordering for a cake!!

The No.1 Birthday Cake

Remember some couple of months ago i made 100 pcs of cupcakes for cukur jambul event for a boy named ALFIE. Well, he's 1 year old now. Hmm.. how time flies.. His mother and father came to my shop and requests me to make a cake for him. After choosing and discussing, here's what i came up with.

Like i said before, i love the baby blue colour with white combination. The base cake represents a blanket with stars on it. Twinkle twinkle little star.... My lips are uttering that song as i decorate this cake all the way..

This is a dark chocolate cake. Base and the number 1 cake. Covered in white buttercream and fondant.

A Birthday Cake For My Ayah.

January is also my ayah's birthday. It falls on the 23rd. He's 68. This is a vanilla layer cake with buttercream icing. He likes it!!

On that day, i tried piping a few roses to put on the cake. I wasn't very happy with it but it'll do.

See!! I'm not very good at piping flower designs. I need to practice. A LOT!

Those are the roses and some leaves. Don't look too close. You can find quite a few droopy roses there. Hmmm...

That's how big my TOTALLY WICKED CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE is. 1 piece can be consumed by 2 people or maybe a chocoholic can eat this size alone. Its chewy inside. Its kind of a chewy soft cookie a little crispy on the outside. Its heavenly and awesomely goooddd...

Sorry for not updating for awhile. Been quite buzy with orders and attending courses. Anyway, heres what i've been doing for the past couples of weeks.

Firstly, attending a chocolate demo by the company that produces Collata chocolate bar at AMORE. I get to bring home for my kids a few samples of chocolates done by the chef from the company.

Just look at these beautiful chocolates... Hmmmh...Deelish!

This is made using Collata white chocolate with dried cranberry inside it.

I was also given a bar of Collata chocolate but i havent the chance to use it yet. Insyallah i will soon..

Sepanjang Disember 2010 ni ape aktiviti saya?? Hmmm...

1st of all, menghadiri pembukaan kedai makan adek saya yg baru aje dirasmikan. Tak de VIP yang merasmikan hanya keluarga dan sahabat2 adek saya. Nama kedai ni RADIO CORNER terletak di Bandar Seri Putra, Bangi.

Ini adek saya. Yang pakai baju batek ni. Dia tengah kacau air.

Sedang melayan tetamu. Ramai sungguh yang datang meraikan pembukaan kedai makan ni. Terima kaseh kepada yang telah memberi sokongan.

Yang tudung merah tu ibu kami , (ayah sedang membantu melayan tetamu) dan auntie ROS serta uncle BOB kami yang telah datang memeriahkan dan memberi sokongan.

Sebahagian dari lauk-pauk kampung yang telah disediakan untuk hari itu.

Kemudian saya sibuk pulak buat 2000 biji mini cupcakes untuk wedding gift. Yang banyak membantu ialah mak dan ayah saya. Mak bantu saya dalam penyediaan cupcake dan ayah pulak bantu dalam hal membungkus. Banyak juga. Yang lagi 2000 biji saya beri pada kawan saya buat.

Perasanya Vanilla & strawberry dan kami bungkuskan 4 biji dalam setiap pack.

Terima kasih saya ingin sampaikan disini pada kawan saya yg membantu membuatkan 2000 biji mini cupcakes siap bungkuskan lagi.. Bersambung lagi di lain episode.. Cupcake sedang dalam oven untuk dibawak ke kedai esok.

I'm back safe & sound alhamdulillah. Not doing anything just yet at the moment. Landed from Jeddah at KLIA around 7.30 am Thursday. Delayed by 10 hours. Hmmm...normal la kan. Naik Saudi sure delay punya. Lagipun first few Hajj flights going out, delay tu dah adat.. Tapi tak tu la flights after ours, on time ke??? Ntah la... Kadang-kadang, bukan kapalterbang yang tak de tapi... airport workers and lack of equipment yang buat all flights tak boleh operate on time. Tolong pegi sekolah balek la...belajar!!! Jadi berbahagialah orang-orang Malaysia ni yang mana KLIA kita cukup user friendly and efficient. Proud to be Malaysian!!!

Anyway, HAJJAH Redvelvet is back. With kerja menanti.... 3,500 pcs of mini cuppies plus packaging for a wedding gift. Next week at least..

As for now, nak rehat for a bit. Nak baik kan batuk yang dah jadi adat orang pegi haji & i'll get back to you a.s.a.p.

FRENCH MACARON

Salam all,

All of a sudden i came up with this crazy crave for french macaron. Let me tell you a little something about this delectable morsels.

Originated from France, this is considered an adult cookie and it is soo..... addictive. Its a dainty french cream-filled sandwich cookie, which in its best form will fill your soul with warm fuzzy happiness after one bite. This cookie looks like a small petite burger, take a bite and it cracked like an egg shell. The inside is chewy and the chocolate one taste like a tootsie roll. I'm starting to drool here..

The specks of dust on top of it is coffee. This is how it looks like when it came out of the oven. The feature of this macaron is they have to have something that looks like a crack under it but it is actually called FEET. Yeap. Macarons have feet. This is a sign of a successfull macaron. If not done properly it wont have feet and it cracked or flat and hollow on the inside. Well, it looked like a disaster. There's a lot of... PANTANG LARANG shall i say in making a macaron. Fuhhh...

French macarons are made of egg white, almond flour/meal and confectioners sugar and some food coloring. I know it doesn't sound a lot but to make this dainty little french treat is harder than it looks. No wonder a piece of macaron could reach somewhere around RM2.00.

Well, anyway, this is something that i whip up yesterday afternoon. This is CHOCOLATE COFFEE MACARON with Chocolate Ganache filling.. OOhhhh... this is soooo...gooooddd.

I made a batch and i got about 18 sandwiched macaron. Well, i ate them all. I'll be making some french macaron soon. My children are asking for it.

Well, i'll post them here soon for your view just before i leave for my haj next week. Don't worry i'll be having FRENCH MACARON at Redvelvetinc, my shop at Bazaar Baru MPS starting January. I'll announce it here when the time comes. As for now let do my Haj first.

This is my angel AQIM FAHMI. He celebrated his birthday on the 20th August. I decided to make some chocolates. Dia tak brape makan sangat chocolate ni tapi yang membelasahkan chocolates tu ialah abang dan kakak nya.

The baby blue chocolate has OREO inside and the white i have red velvet cookie inside that i bake a few days before the birthday.

Gambar kek dibawah ni pulak merupakan kek hantaran untuk my cousin CIK BOY untuk majlis merisik dan hantar tanda... CIK.... GURL.. he..he..

That's calla lilly sugar paste ready made of course, fondant covering and royal icing detail. As for the cake, RED VELVET double layer.

Yang ni birthday kek untuk Fikri. I personally liked the color baby blue and yellow.. So baby-ish... Flavour is dark chocolate with buttercream frosting.

Ni pulak special request for a lovely & girly princess. A red velvet cake and a delicious pink buttercream frosting. Thanks Auntie Khairun.

Untuk majlis berbuka puasa sebuah keluarga besar. They requested a blueberry cheese cake & a plain orange cake. The mommy prefers plain & no frosting however, the smell of orange juice and zest is so perfumy and uplifting..

I got my red velvet laptop back. Alhamdulillah...

Salam Aidilfitri to all of you. Thank you for being here in my blog. I'll be updating soon. I've got tones of pictures to upload for your view.

At the moment my shop at Bazaar Baru MPS is closed.. Most probably until end of November. It's that time of the year again that i've been waiting for especially this year. "Panggilan Haji... telah tiba lagi.... Menunaikan ibadah.... Panggilan Baitullah..."

Yeap. 3 days before Aidilfitri my husband and I got the much awaited call from Tabung Haji saying that we were selected to perform our Haj this year... Alhamdulillah... Mixed feelings suddenly flushed thru my core. Berdebar, happy, sedih, tak sabar nak menjejakkan kaki ni ke Masjid Nabawi, nak ziarah Maqam Rasulullah dan sahabat2nya yang mana dah sekian lama tertanam cita-cita tu dalam hati ni, nak solat dalam Raudhah & beriktikaf dalam Masjidil Haram, berwukuf di Arafah... at the same time sayu melihat anak-anak yang akan kami tinggalkan.. Faiz, Ahmad, Laila & Aqim.. Begitu jugak mak & ayah. Sejak dapat panggilan dari Tabung Haji, mata dah ternampak Kaabah, telinga dah terdengar2 Labbaikallah .... Perasaan yang tak dapat nak digambarkan cuma siapa yang merasai nya pasti tahu ape yang saya maksudkan ni.

Alhamdulillah, saya amat bersyukur dengan ape yang saya perolehi selama ini. Sekarang ni sedang sebok pack barang2 yang nak dibawa, delegate tugas ambil anak2 disekolah kepada ayah dan adik, tinggalkan pesanan dan sedikit bekalan buat anak2.. Dan yang lainnya saya berserah dan bertawakkal kepada DIA yang Maha Memelihara dan Maha Melindungi.

Saya mohon ampun dan maaf kepada sahabat2 yang selalu visit blog saya ni kiranya sepanjang perbualan, pertemuan dan tulisan saya ada yang mengguris hati sesiapa jua. Kesilapan itu datangnya hanya dari saya maka maafkan kekhilafan saya ni dan ape jua yang terbaik hanya datang dari Pencipta kita yang Maha Agung.

Sorry for not uploading and updating.

My laptop has gone kaput one rainy Friday afternoon about 2 weeks ago. All it takes is rain and lightning...zassss...there goes my precious redvelvet laptop.. I dont quite mind about the laptop but all my filess.... recipiessss... and my work..... adusss... Can you imagine my heart aches?? The world suddenly went black..

So, next time if there's rain with lightning, please switch off any important electrical appliances such as your charging handphones or laptop and do take it off the socket.. Now i had to borrow my sons laptop for a while to update this.

Anyway, until my laptop comes back to my lap i wont be updating anytime soon. I'll get back as soon as possible. Thank you for staying and being around and sorry for any inconveniences occured.

Ahmad's Birthday

Yesterday 1st of August was my son Ahmad Syafi's 9th birthday. He requested a cupcake. So i made him a Chocolate cupcakes with something especially designed for him.

A personalized cupcake pick. Yeap, that's his handsome face printed on a white coated paper and some cartoon picks.

And yeap, he is surprised to see those cupcakes has his face on it. He kept asking me how did i do that. Well, it's magic Ahmad! he..he.. I'll teach you one of these days ya!

These are my wonderful children with Ahmad's cupcakes. I'm happy to see them happy.

Well, i hope you're happy too, being here.

Next week is Ramadhan month. I wont be baking cupcakes like i would normally do but i do have some cookies for Hari Raya and cupcakes and cakes for Hari Raya are open for orders. Sorry for being away from the blog for quite a while. Been managing the shop, baking cupcakes & cakes daily. Very tiring.

Anyway, enjoy the pictures of cupcakes i baked just last weekend.

First, these are cupcakes for Lembaga Promosi Kementerian Kesihatan, Putrajaya. They're having family day last Saturday. There's 50 pcs++ of chocolate cupcakes with buttercream topping.

100 pcs of Chocolate Cupcakes

Like i said earlier in my previous post i was busy last week. This is the final project towards the end of the week. 100 pcs of chocolate cupcakes for kenduri cukur jambul for Baby Alfie. Before deciding on the color scheme all of a sudden i kept thinking about my sons Faizs' soft tumbling blocks toys he used to have when he was a baby. That is the exact color that i could remember. so i knew i had to do them in this colors: Baby blue, light yellow and soft pastel purple. The cupcakes flavour is dark chocolate.

Mind the messy table top... Bakers at work!!

That's all. I gotta thank my sister in law Aida for helping me with the piping, and covering of the cupcakes with buttercream until 2am.. Nanti kalo ada lagi order yang banyak macam ni tolong along lg ek?? Hope you guys enjoy the stay and the pictures. These are the work that i've done for the past 1 week. Red Velvet Cake & A Sampler Cupcakes

last week was a busy week. I had orders for a red velvet cake, a sampler ( mixed flavours) and later that same week cupcakes for kenduri cukur jambul for a baby boy named ALFIE.

Picture below is the cake. It's a red velvet layer cake with buttercream frosting. Ordered by Zila for her parents anniversary last friday. It's a suprprise for them i was told. I hope Zila & her parents loved it. Thank you Zila & family.

Below is a sampler cupcakes. A sampler is a mixed flavour. In this box is DARK CHOCOLATE WITH CARAMEL, COOKIES N' CREAM, PEANUT BUTTER, COFFEE CARAMEL & ORANGE POPPY. There are about 72 pieces all together. Ordered by Cikgu Ramlah.

Singapore Marathon

Salam,

On the 26th June i got the chance to attend a very special class. The one i have been waiting for since early last year. So at 7 am that day my son Faiz, my sister and I board a plane to Singapore. The last time i had visited Singapore was when Faiz was 5 or 6 years old and now Faiz is 22! How time flies!

At Changi Airport. That's my son Faiz.

As you can see it's a very long ride down the underground to get the train. I think thats a 3 storey high escalator. Alamak, cam cuak lak tengok escalator tu kan? Sayup betul...

We're joining the Singaporeans on MRT. Nasib baik bawak back pack je. Itu pun by the time nak balik ke Changi to fly home that night the same day, lutut and pinggang macam tetinggal kat Singapore. Aduihhh, penat gile.

Me and my sister Ida, in the much awaited French Macaron course taught by the bubbly, friendly and lovely Chef Tania. She is such a warm and welcoming person. We're the only one's, three's i mean, an outsider. In fact, everyone in the class welcomed and greeted us. Thank you Chef Tania & everyone in the class for being so nice and welcomed us. I'm so surprised and touched by their friendly gestures.

That's me trying my hands on piping the macaron batter. Pretty tricky and banyak pantang larang la benda ni.. tapi berbaloi sangat. No wonder this thing very expensive. Hmm....

The class went well. Chef Tania tought us the french method, Italian method and a couple of recipes that has been tried and tested by her and that works well and this is what it looks like.

This burger-like little french sandwiched cookies is quite a challenge to make but it tasted heavenly. Probably i'll make some and have them at my shop one day. One fine...day!

This is what it looks like when finished. Isn't that pretty?? It is suitable for a lot of occasions here since we all have hantaran gift la, door gift la, wedding gift la, khatam quran gift la, cukur jambul gift & a lists of other events just to name a few.

Well, my baking is done. I have mini chocolate cake, mini orange cake & mini strawberry cake for my shop tomorrow. I got to have some sleep now.

Belated Fathers Day Cake

In the midst of my new & hectic busy schedule of baking cupcakes and cakes for my shop, there are some orders to fulfill. A friend of mine Kak Ila(Aked MARA) ordered an Orange Cake with buttercream and written SELAMAT HARI BAPA for her husband supposedly given by the children to the father.

This is an 8" 2-layer round cake with orange flavour and it tasted wonderful.. I loved it. I do hope she loved it as much as i do. I know she adores orange cake so, anyway, here's some picture of the cake.

It's Opened!

Yesterday was the opening of my small shop in Bazaar Baru MPS. I am so relieved that it went so well, alhamdulillah. Infact, i never thought that people would actually buy a cupcake. What's a piece of cupcake right?

Well, for one, a gift! I'm not talking about the hantaran kind of gift but something people would simply take to go see a friend. They bring cupcakes not flowers.. Edible, nice, something fun, pretty and they're not heavy to carry.. and cheap too! It's such a fun food and fun dessert and i'm very happy to be associated with something that makes people so happy.

I had people came in just to buy cupcakes for visiting a sick friend yesterday and came in again today to buy some more for another friend and for themselves for tea. Alhamdulillah...

These are some of the cupcakes i had served for today. all of these flavours are my personal favourite. I chose to baked them dan have them at the shop today because i'm very familiar with the taste, how the buttercream should taste like to compliment with the cake itself. i baked them just the way i liked them. Dense but moist at the same time and not very sweet..

These are some of the flavours for today. My menu changes everyday. Well, come over to my small and not-quite-done-yet shop. if you have any flavours that you like, maybe you can give me some idea of what flavours i should have in my shop then by all means come by.

Like i said earlier. My shop isn't quite done yet. Mind the hollowness feel to it. I'm trying to do it up bit by bit. It will be complete soon as i go along...

Cupcake Hantaran Merah Putih

I'm back from my holidays with the kids. They had fun. The beach where else!! Esok sekolah dah mula. Anak saya Laila dapat chicken pox pulak! Macam-macam hal la.. Tapi kesian tengok dia. Merengek tu dah tentu la. Chicky pox ni paling banyak disekitar muka dia pulak tu. Berkali-kali dia sebut "Mama, adek dah tak cantik lagi." Sedih mendengarnya. Makcik sorang ni paling yang menjaga penampilannya biarpun baru darjah 1. Tu lah dia anak perempuan.. Neneknya kata "bukan tak cantik, tapi lagi cantik bila sehat nanti." Puas gak memujuk. Orang sakit la katakan.

Anyways, before kami pegi holiday ari tu sempat buatkan cupcake hantaran untuk my friend YATI from Seremban 2. Cupcake tu bukan untuk Yati, dia dah kawin. Untuk adik ipar dia. Tema warna merah putih. Cupcake flavour Rich Dark Chocolate & Fondant covering. Enjoy the pix below.

School break is here! Already?? phewww... lega! Tak la penat sangat terkejar amek budak-budak kat sekolah, hantar pegi mengaji, petang pegi tusyen pulak..

anyways, anak-anak Ahmad Syafi & Laila sempat saya hantar ke satu tempat yang paling saya suka. "My Kitchen Garden" - AMORE. Watch out for next school break activities at AMORE. This time mereka dan cousin mereka belajar decorate cupcake. Ada special class during school break for children at Amore. My children yang paling excited sebab dah lama diaorang tunggu untuk masuk kelas ni.

RED VELVET cake recipe

Salam,

First and foremost terima kasih kerana sudi datang ke blog saya. Ada ramai yang bertanya kepada saya apa resepi red velvet cake yang saya selalu buat. Untuk tidak menghampakan kawan-kawan yang bertanya, dibawah ni saya sertakan resepi yang selalu saya guna dan selalu jadi punya!!

Saya amek resepi ni dari betty's kitchen di youtube.

RED VELVET CAKE.
1 cup butter (2 sticks) - softened to room temperature.
2 1/2 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups self-raising flour
8 oz sour cream (saya guna susu yang di campur dengan 1 tablespoon cuka makan - biar 5 minit)
2 tsp vanilla
3 tblsp cocoa powder
2 (1oz) red food coloring (1 botol red color yang biasa - star brand dah cukup)

1) beat butter until creamy, add sugar. Beat until light & fluffy.
2) add eggs, one at a time.
3) stir together flour, cocoa powder. add in butter mixture. selang seli dengan sour cream atau susu yang dicampur cuka tadi. Normally you start with flour and end with flour.
4) add in vanilla & red coloring. stir with spatula or wooden spoon until blended.
5) pour in cake pan or spoon batter in cupcake lined tins.
6) bake for 20 - 25 minutes for cake and about 15 mnutes for cupcake.
7) let slightly cool in pan /tin. when cooled, transfer to wire rack to let cool further to room temperature before frosting.

Itu versi butter. Ada gak versi guna minyak. kalau boleh guna vegetable oil/canola... something like that. resepi dia sama gak cuma tukarkan dgn minyak je yang butter tu.

BIRTHDAY & ANNIVERSARY CUPCAKES

Thank you for dropping by on my blog again. Below are some pictures of a batch of birthday cupcakes for AZLI ordered by the sweet and lovely wife of his ANI. At the same time another batch of cupcakes are for AZLI's mom & dad for their 30th anniversary.

These are the anniversary cupcakes for Azli's parents. Flavours are chocolate and vanilla. Covered in fondant. I tried my hands on brush embroidery. I discovered the technique in youtube. Its very interesting and i will definately need some lesson on that. Soon!!

It's a good practice to do on a small scale like the cupcakes. To do it on a cake, maybe not right now. I need a good teacher when it is related to techniques. Anyway, i enjoy doing this particular cupcake. It's something new to me.. Its great to be able to try out and now i know where i'm going with this skill of mine. Thank you ANI, AZLI, ANIS & the parents.. I hope you guys have more great birthdays and anniversaries to come. Wish you guys all the best in life..

COOKIE FOR ADULTS

Salam,

Today i bought a BHG magazine titled ULTIMATE DESSERTS at a local book store. As i flip through pages of mouthwatering cakes, cookies and pies recipes my eyes caught a picture of a cookie so humble and ugly yet makes me drool just by looking at it. This cookie is called DEVILISH DELIGHT. This kind of cookie isn't my cup of tea or coffee... although i'd often tell myself to try it out.

Ain't that cake looks wickedly delish!

I don't know what got into me but i feel like having a nice piece of chocolate chip cookie or any kind of chocolate cookie as long as it is chocolate. I went through the recipe over and over and the recipe are as follows:

6 tblspns all-purpose flour

1/2 tspn baking powder

1/8 tspn salt

2 eggs

1/2 cup sugar

1 to 2 tblspns coffee liqueur or strong brewed coffee

2 tsp vanilla

10 oz espresso-flavour chocolate baking bar or bittersweet chocolate bar-chopped

2 tblspn butter

12 oz dark or bittersweet chocolate-chopped

Looks pretty easy??? Well, it is actually. I made some minor adjustments though. Now, i dont have coffee liqueur of course, but i use coffee paste and i don't have espresso flavour baking bar but i have dark compound chocolate coins and instead of using another batch of chopped bittersweet chocolate, i use regular chocolate chips.

1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt with a whisk and set aside.

2. In another bowl, combine eggs, sugar(i use brown sugar) coffee paste(the whole bottle - about 2 tblspns), vanilla and stir with a spoon until combined.

3. In a saucepan combine espresso flavour chocolate and butter ( i used dark chocolate coins in a plastic bowl and whirl it in microwave until melted) It came out a thick melted chocolate-butter mix. I'm not quite sure if that is the right consistency. Let the melted chocolate-butter mix cool slightly and then pour in the egg mixture and stir until combined.

4. Add in the flour mixture and whisk until just combined and fold in the chocolate chips supposed to be batch of dark bittersweet chopped chocolate.

This is the batter..

5. Drop using a teaspoon the batter on a lined cookie sheet or a pan 2 inches apart from one another.( It will spread a little). Bake for 8-9 minutes at 350' (for my oven i heat at 160') until tops appear dry and centers remain soft. Cool on cookie sheet for 3 minutes. Transfer to a wire rck to cool further.

In the oven..

In the recipe it said it makes about 36 pieces of cookies. However for a heaping teaspoon of cookie batter i got about 60 - 65 pcs. I dont know, lost count. i ate them.

Here's what the cookie looks like:

I must say its a pretty wicked looking chocolate chip cookie but...

The conclusion:

1) It's a bit bitter, i think for a 2 tblspns coffee paste that i used, i should have only used 1 tspn or 1 tblspn but it is dense, soft and chewy. That's one of the thing that i'd look for in a chocolate chip cookie.

2) I used brown sugar alone when i should have combine it with a regular castor sugar about 1/3 cup maybe...This is to balance out with the bitter coffee paste. The cookie isn't so sweet but its all right for me.. OR maybe i should eliminate totally the use of coffee if i were to do this again and stick to plain chocolate instead.

3) Maybe next time i'll drop in about 1/2 cup of chopped walnut. Mmhh..that sound good!

4) For this recipe, i would strongly suggest that this cookie is not suitable for kids below 15 years old. Why??

The verdict:

I had a few just now and its almost 1 am. I can't get my eyes to shut. I cant sleep!! Oh no!!!

This cookie, i should say is a getter-upper thing OR for college students who have to study late nights for exams and you're sleepy, this cookie is THE one for YOU!! Be a cookie monster!!!

I've got to try to sleep or i will look like a zombie in the morning.. if you want to try this recipe, pls take note of the faults I MADE, the do's and don'ts in this recipe and follow what suit you the best... And pls, if its coffee, dont give it to small kids..

LAILA'S BIRTHDAY

Salam All,

Today 13th Mei is my daughters' 7th birthday. Since a couple of days ago she's been telling everybody that her birthday is coming up... I got up at 6 this morning and as soon as Laila & Ahmad my 2nd son left for school, i start baking, then frosting her cake. I don't actually know what to do or how to decorate so... i start play around with the buttercream and this is how it looks like.

Thats how she looks like when she saw the cake.. Surprised and happy.. That look from her makes all my tiredness, aches and worries gone in a split second. She never thought we would have a birthday cake for her since we ve never mentioned anything about it.

Ahmad's birthday coming up in August. What kind of cake shall i do for him??? I'd better start planning from now...

This is red velvet cake with pink steamed buttercream frosting, a couple of princessess edible images.. She adores pink! Girls!!

Salam all,

Thank you for dropping by my blog. A tiring weekend but most meaningful. Just this couple of days i've been everywhere going around from Seremban to Subang Jaya attending wedding receptions, visiting some close friends who use to be our neighbours at Wangsa Baiduri.. Talk about walking down memory lane...Moms

Well, before getting myself busy like a bee going evrywhere on the weekends, i had made a batch of chocolate cupcakes for Engagement Hantaran and delivered it on Friday. The color theme was cream & brown. And here it is.

I hope the bride & groom to be likes this cupcake. Thank you for the trust and support.

Thats all for now. I still have some cupcakes to bake today. I'm doing my favourite flavours - red velvet, vanilla, chocolate & oreo cupcakes and to be delivered tomorrow. Yaay...Yummy yummy-licious..

WEDDING CAKES

Salam again,

I learned something new and exciting. Well, something for the resume actually. I've done cake covered with fondant in my previous post. This is something new. A steamed buttercream. No wonder it gets so smooth, satiny and "cleaned" like fondant look. Both method for cake coverings made me look like i've done this thing for years... Wow... Have a look!

Oppsss... Sorry. Not very smooth at the bottom cake. The buttercream is a little too thick. But then.. I've done it. Thank you teacher Zalina. Tak sia-sia penat seharian mengulit buttercream ni.

Look at the white roses. I even did something that i never thought i would do and before this i thought flowers are very the leceh you know. Ohh the fusss...And scary!!! But teacher Zalina just showed me a couple of times and Presto!!.. Voila!! A bunch of white roses coming out of my hands... Magic!! The wonderful wonders of a humble piece of tiny gadget made out of tin called PIPING TIPS. I never thought i could.... Pheww... Alhamdulillah!

This makes me wanna do wedding cakes again... It's so pretty. Well, for an amature like me that's something i can be proud of. And i truly am. Ohh my hands are ithching to pipe roses again and... maybe i'll do it for my daughter's coming birthday in 2 weeks time. Hmmm...

As promised, below are some pictures of the said cupcakes i did last friday for ABY & OUN. Thank you Kak Chik for trusting & supporting!! I hope u guys liked it.

The cupcakes featured are VANILLA ALMOND with Chocolate fondant topping. Their theme for the day was Dark Brown. I love Vanilla flavoured cupcakes. Mmmm...Yummy!!

Salam everyone,

First of all thank you evryone for being here.... Hari ni hari malas sedunia kot. Soooo lah de sleepy... Tapi perut tau pulak lapar. Boleh bangun! Tak pe lah.

Last week my son came back for the weekend. And seperti biasa before dia balik ke Perak, kena bawak bekal. His favourite food to bring back to asrama is cakes, cupcakes. Disebabkan mama dia baru balik dari kursus buat coklat dan chocolate bar ada stock, maka semangat buat coklat tu tengah ade. Jadi, ini lah dia coklat buatan mama with strawberry filling untuk faiz anak mama yang tersayang.

Sorry la, malas lak nak buat decoration atas dia. Tapi kalau orang order boleh lak buat lawa-lawa.. Tak pe lah. Dah masuk mulut, hilang sume yang lawa tadi kan?? Tak pe, janji bekas dia lawa...sket la!! Hope anak mama yang hantu coklat tu suka ngan rasa coklat ni.. Boleh syer ngan kawan-kawan k?

CHOCOLATES....LKM

Long time no see ha! Well, i've been getting myself busy with attending courses... From cakes to chocolates... So exciting! I love chocolates you know. ...Well, who doesn't??

I have the previllage of attending a 2-day course of "ASAS PEMBANGUNAN USAHAWAN COKLAT BUATAN TANGAN" held at Hotel Seri Malaysia by LEMBAGA KOKO MALAYSIA(LKM).

With me here is CHEF KHAIRUL. He is the chocolate chef for LKM. He makes beautiful, creative chocolates thats not just nice to look at but soooo good in the taste. He makes the chocolate days that we went through for 2 days so sweet, pleasant and memorable.

Chef Khairul in the midst of discussions with chocolate enthusiast...including me but too bad i'm the one taking the pictures...hu...hu...:( Usahawan-usahawan coklat semua tu... Bangga juga jadi sebahagian dari mereka dan banyak pelajaran, informasi dan tips-tips berguna yang diperolehi dari pihak LKM dan para usahawan-usahawan.

I'm so glad and thankful and would like to thank Auntie Ani & Pakcik Dali for introducing me to LKM and thank you Lembaga Koko Malaysia for the great time, education and information given by all of you.

Chocolates

Salam everyone,

Last week i had an order for some chocolates for a wedding hantaran. So i made a couple of flavours & fillings and here's how it turned out. The wedding theme color is black & red.

The chocolates flavours i made are mint and strawberry. As for the fillings: milk chocolate, strawberry and blueberry.

The wedding took place at Felda Villa, KL. This is the box of chocolates together with the other hantaran that was being set up. Its kinda dark and blurry i know. I took this shot from my handphone camera.

Salam everyone,

These are some of my so-called creation of delectable fancy cookies... I love making these especially when it comes to the decorating part. At Amore, Sis Adriana taught me the made-from-scratch "manual" method and the "auto" pre-mix method. Both method produces beautiful and crunchy cookies but i know now that i prefer the auto method... he..he.. I know, i know life is cruel but it ain't ugly. You gotta take shortcuts sometime.... That is if you know what's best for yourself...

So.. heres my work.

Wedding cakes designs are beautiful. This is Laila's favourite color, so i made them in pink fondant..

CHOCOLATE MAKING CLASS for kids

This is my daughter LAILA MARSHA. She's 7 and likes to help out everytime i'm in the kitchen making cupcakes or chocolates. She wakes up very early in the morning today, so excited about the chocolate class that she's about to go. So today i sent her to Adriana (Amore) for the chocolate class. She had fun. She learns well. She's all smiley face, so proud of her self. Well... a chocolatier in the making... Got myself a partner!

RED VELVET cupcake

Salam everyone,

I'm back.. Again, i'm doing a cupcake. This time i'm just trying out Bakerella's recipe on RED VELVET cupcake. No butter involved here. I've done a couple of red velvet recipes in a number of versions and methods. Last Saturday i had to try out Bakerella's version without the butter and all it needs is about 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder. Oppsss... i'm out of cocoa powder.

Notice the book?? I have my most favourite recipes hand written in there. It will be passed down to my children someday, insyallah.. with my hand writing!!!

Thats the red velvet cupcakes... Moist, light & fluffy, with a hint of cocoa flavor and a little on the sweet side.. i'll remember to reduce the sugar if i'm making this again. Sorry, no frosting on this. I'm out of butter, cream cheese and icing sugar. Time to visit my "kitchen garden" - AMORE!!!

Children Birthday Cupcakes

Here are some pink cupcakes i've made for NIA NURKASEH for her 4th birthday. She's gonna have a party at school and she's so excited about it. Every day & night she's been asking and pastering her mama about her birthday cake. Children loves birthdays & cakes don't they! Her favourite color is of course PINK & Purple... Since the party takes place at her school, i had to make them colorful. So i made a batch of pink buttercream with strawberry flavor, dunk the sides in "hundreds and thousands" and colorful rice thingy...., some sugar flowers i made from a batch of royal icing, pipe it & leave them out to dry over night, purple fondant heart for the text and the cupcake is a marble chocolate and strawberry flavour. Enjoy the view!!

The pink buttercream icing.. Personally i like the messy & unprofessional look on a cupcake. The palette knife is my favourite when it comes to buttercream..

PASTRY CLASS AT AMORE

Salam dear friends & bloggers alike,

I'm back. Its been quite sometime saya tak update blog ni. Now let me see... where have i been for the past 3 weeks??? Well, everywhere... For one, tiring weekend at Kuala Sungai Baru, Melaka. Anak sedara kawin. Mak sedara kenalah tolong.... Aduhhh...Capek dehh!!

On the 24/2, a couple of weeks ago, I manage to join a pastry class that was held at my "kitchen garden"- Amore E-Bake. Actually i've been waiting fo this class for quite a while and it kind of almost slips away from my mind because i was so caught up with other things. I'm quite lucky to have Sis Adriana to remind me of it.

Let me introduce you all to this handsome, cute & sweet chef. His name is Alan Ooi. Comel sangat budak ni. Chef pulak tu. Seronok tengok cara dia buat kerja. Cepat cam lipas. Kelas yang sepatutnya abih kol 5 ptg, kol 4 kami dah siap berfoto-fotoan lagi. Ok lah tu. Sempat gak bertanya itu dan ini pada chef ni. Dia ada keluarkan buku resipi. Saya sempat beli & it's simple to follow all the recipes yang dia turunkan dalam buku tu. Yang penting ingredients dia senang didapati. Tajuk buku : BREAD MAGIC dan satu lagi NEW YEAR COOKIES. Nak beli pegi kat Amore E-Bake. RM17 je. Murah sesangat...

These are some of the pastries that were taught in the class. Semua sedap-sedap belaka. Yg ni Mix Fruit Danish. I think all of it are my favourite. Tak payah gi cari pastries kat coffeeshops hotel-hotel. Buat sendiri kat rumah.

This is what we made. Imagine having those, still warm, on a rainy day with a cup of coffee in your favourite spot in your own house with the smell of recently baked pastries still lingers around your kitchen.... PergHHH!!!! Heaven..

"THE AMORE AWARD"(certificate) and with the one and only, lovely lady of everything sweet and delicious and pretty and taste soo... yummy, Sis Adriana whom have lovingly and tirelessly taught me the art of making these lovely, dainty and succulent cupcakes... Alhamdulillah and thank you Sis Adriana for sharing and supporting me and guiding me all the way when i've been so sceptical about cupcakes...

And now YOU're here and i'd like to personally thank you in advance for visiting my blog.. Those whose not familiar with Amore E-Bake, this is "THE" place to get yourself some Fun...in the kitchen! Its like having a BRANDED handbag or wallet to me. Although i own none of those!! I ve considered Amore E-Bake my "Kitchen Garden" nowadays... I sound like Nigella Lawson lah pulak!! Once in Amore, you'll get addicted!! But only in the most loving, warm, homey and fun way you could ever imagined. Well, try it out for yourselves. Made these mini’s as a sampler for Aida’s office today… Hope they liked it!! The mini’s consists of 1) Oreo Vanilla 2) Chocolate 3) Vanilla Almond and toppings are Fondant & buttercream.

Buttercream flavours are dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla & blueberry.

There are no butter and eggs in this Chocolate and Vanilla Almond recipes.
